Vernon. The Vernon Township Council on April 26 approved the Town Center Redevelopment Plan.

The ordinance passed by a 4-0 vote, with Township Council President John Auberger abstaining.

The plan is dated March 25.

At the Vernon Township Land Use Board’s Feb. 10 meeting, it determined that the updated redevelopment plan was consistent with the township’s Master Plan.

She said the Redevelopment Plan includes 172 tax lots and permitted uses included micro-breweries, retail, commercial, outdoor dining, theater, an amphitheater, as well as outdoor activities.

The board made some changes and included the addition of verbiage to specify lighting that is consistent in the Town Center Area.
