Vernon names new municipal clerk

VERNON — The Vernon Township Council unanimously appointed Lauren Kirkman as Municipal Clerk for a three-year term beginning Monday, March 3.

Kirkman is a Registered Municipal Clerk in New Jersey and has previously served as the Deputy Clerk of Middletown Township.

“Lauren was able to come into the Town Center today and was introduced to the other departments," Council President Brian Lynch said. "She was also made aware of what she’ll need to do starting March 3. “She’s very capable, and very qualified, and I think that we’re lucky to have her."

Kirkman will be taking over for Deputy Municipal Clerk Andrea Bates.
