VERNON — The Vernon Police Benevolent Association, Chapter 285, held its Biennial Game Dinner fundraiser at Vernon’s Wallkill Valley VFW Hall on Route 94 on Sunday. The sold-out dinner is limited to 150 diners.
According to Lt. Dan Young, the event is one of the PBA’s biggest fundraising events.
Although many volunteers helped to prepare the food, master game chef Denis Viera, formerly of Kite’s at Minerals Resort, was the driving and directing force in the wild-game food preparation. Viera is also known for his mastery of preparing seafood.
