The Vernon Township School District will have its annual assessment presentation at the Board of Education meeting on Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Glen Meadow Middle School.

The presentation will review, by grade-level, the results of the 2013 New Jersey Assessment of Skills and Knowledge 3-8 (NJASK) and the High School Proficiency Assessment 11 (HSPA).

In addition to the sharing of this assessment data, time will be devoted to an explanation of the state’s progress targets, which are used to evaluate schools’ achievement, as well as the advent of the state’s next generation assessment: the Partnership for the Assessment of College and Career Readiness (PARCC).

Moreover, on January 16th, the district will reward several exceptional young readers as part of its 10th anniversary celebration of the Mind Traveler’s Reading Incentive Program.

The meeting will commence at 7:00pm at Glen Meadow Middle School.
