Vernon schools announce governor's teachers

VERNON — Six Vernon Township School District Teachers were honored with the Governo's Teacher Award.
The state-wide program recognizes teacher excellence as the most impactful factor contributing to student achievement. A committee of teachers, administrators, and community members helped select the six recipients from each of the district’s schools.
The winners are: Hollyce Schoepp (VTHS, science); Veronica Dignan (Glen Meadow, math), William Kelter (Lounsberry Hollow MS, music), Debbie Lynch (Rolling Hills PS, second grade), Karen Stoeckel (Cedar Mountain PS, special education) and Nicole Keane (Walnut Ridge PS, school counselor).
