VERNON — The Vernon Township High School Science National Honor Society recently returned from their science field expedition to Costa Rica.
Eleven students accompanied science teachers Cara Brown and Pam Schaefer for a unique study and cultural opportunity. Studies included organic farming, biofuels, volcanic geology and ecosystems. A highlight of their trip was living with local families, playing soccer with their children and enjoying a fiesta the village held in their honor.
