VTHS sponsors gold-buying event

VERNON — The Vernon High School Viking Club will sponsoring a Gold Buying Event on Saturday, Dec. 14 at the high school cafeteria from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

The money raised will fund scholarships for graduating VTHS senior athletes. This is the same day as the Breakfast with Santa, so there will be Light ‘n Fluffy pancakes and participants can earn some holiday spending money while they cash in their old jewelry for cash.

All broken, scrap jewelry, watches, silver, gold and silver coins, tangled chains, and single earrings, even Sterling Silver is welcome. You receive 100 percent of the current value of your gold. The Viking Club will earn their profit from the total amount of sales for the day.
