VERNON — Last Saturday evening the Vernon Township Distributive Educational Clubs of America students organized a Winter Wonderland Dance for about two dozen of the school’s special needs children.
Although foul weather may have affected attendance, about 40 children came out for the special event that included a buffet table with plenty to eat for all.
The entertainment for the evening included music by Hi Energy Entertainment of Highland Lakes with DJ Nick Pascarella. Also performing was magician Alex Block, 18, a senior from Pleasant Valley Lake, who amazed the audience with some card tricks and a few demonstrations of his sleight of hand skills.
