VTSD to host math sessions

VERNON — The Vernon Township School District will have parent information sessions meant to bridge the home-to-school connection over the next several weeks.

There will be sessions at Rolling Hills school on Jan. 15, Walnut Ridge on Jan. 28 and Feb. 4 at Lounsberry Hollow Middle school. All sessions will begin at 7 p.m., except for the Walnut Ridge sessiosn, which will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Math in Focus uses the Singapore Math approach to math instruction. The parent workshops will be facilitated by the district’s math coaches and will equip parents/guardians with hands-on and pragmatic tools to assist their children with math teaching and learning.
