Girl Scout Troop 96266 of Wallkill Valley donated Thanksgiving bags, complete with turkeys, to St. Francis De Sales Church’s food pantry in Vernon for their community service project.

The bags included everything a family would need to need to make a complete Thanksgiving dinner. The girls earned money by helping their parents, and then pooled their earnings to go shopping at Weis Market.

The girls also worked on their Financial Literacy Awards. They put together the individual Thanksgiving bags with the items they purchased and then delivered them to the food pantry. They donated seven complete dinner bags and 12 turkeys.
