Wantage committee accepts streets in subdivision

WANTAGE — The Township Committee unanimously approved the accepted of streets within the Clove Hill Manor Subdivision during its meeting on Jan. 2.

"It's been a long time coming," Committeeman Ronald Bassani said.

Mayor William DeBoer later said the situation has gone on for about 12 years and the final hearing date is set for Jan. 30.

Previously the roads were not accepted by Wantage Township because the development had never been completed.

According to design and economic necessities, Clove Hill Manor was finished in phases and the developer completed the roads in mid-November of 2013. The municipal improvements were then inspected and determined to have been satisfactorily paved by Township Engineer Harold Pellow.
