Brothers Kevin and Christopher Fett did not need the elf on the shelf. They had Santa races on the railing to pass the time at the tree lighting while waiting for Santa to arrive.

WANTAGE — The rain couldn't put a damper on the Christmas spirit of Wantage residents.
Despite the rain there was a large turnout for the tree lighting and Santa's visit. Along with Santa's arrival on a fire truck, there was a book fair in the gym, craft projects, food and face painting in the lunch room and the tree lighting. Children lined up to sit on Santa's lap to tell him their wish list and receive a little goodie from Santa himself.
