Wantage officials to buy new DPW truck

The Town Committee on Dec. 8 unanimously approved an ordinance to spend nearly $124,000 on a new truck for the Department of Public Works.
The township will pay $123,665 to purchase a 2023 Ford F-550 Chassis 4x4 from the Route 23 Automall in Butler, using the state contract.
The township will fund the purchase by using $40,000 from the Capital Improvement Fund and $83,665 from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
The committee introduced the ordinance at its Nov. 22 meeting.
