Wantage plans 10th annual Woodbourne Park 5K

WANTAGE — The Wantage Township Recreation Department Park 5K Family Run/Walk on Sept. 20 at Woodbourne Park on Sherman Ridge Road.

The event will be run entirely in the park on certified paved double loops. There will be no traffic to compete with. There will be water on the course and time splits at miles 1 and 2.

"We are excited to be holding this family running/walking event for the 10th year," race director Creighton McBride said. "Last year we had 290 runners and walkers."

The race starts at 9 a.m. with awards at 10 a.m. Registration the day of the event starts at 8 a.m. The cost only is $5 with registration prior to Sept. 16, and $8 on the day of the race.

The registration fee includes race T-shirts, goodie bags, snacks and awards. T-shirts and goodie bags are limited to the first 200 registrations.
