Woman's club plans recipe contest
Vernon. Vernon Township Woman's Club will sponsor a pumpkin recipe contest on Sept. 7 during street fair on Sept. 7.

The GFWC Vernon Township Woman's Club invites children and adults to cook up some delicious pumpkin creations for the "Anything Pumpkin" Recipe Contest.
The club is sponsoring the contest on Saturday, September 7 during the Vernon Chamber of Commerce's annual Vernon Street Fair which takes place on Main Street in Vernon from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
"As long as the recipe includes pumpkin, it can be entered into the contest," says Woman's Club President Lois Marples. "Breads, desserts, main dishes and more, they're all welcome." Prizes will be awarded in two age categories: 12 & under, and 13 & up.
To enter the contest, submit a registration form at www.vernonchamber.com under the events tab.
Deliver your creation and recipe between 10 a.m. and noon on Sept. 7. Winners will be announced at 1 p.m. For more information, call 973-764-0764 or email info@vernonchamber.com.
