Local student wins reading award

David Grabowsky, an eighth-grader at Glen Meadow School, was selected out of 2,100 nominees to be a winner for middle school students in the northern region of New Jersey. He was named by the New Jersey Reading Association and New Jersey Association of School Librarians as one of New Jersey’s Enthusiastic Readers - 2009. David and his parents were invited to attend a celebration of his award at the Foundation for Educational Administration Building in Monroe Township and he received an autographed book, as well as a U.S. savings bond and other prizes.
