Looking for adventure? Join the Scouts

The Scouts and leaders from Franklin Boy Scout Troop 90 would like to extend a warm thank-you to all that attended our pancake breakfast at Immaculate Conception Church on Feb. 15. Our boys enjoyed serving the many people that attended and thank you for your continued support of our troop. We would also like to thank the staff of the church for allowing us the use of the Lyceum to hold this event. Franklin Boy Scout Troop 90 meets each Monday evening from 7 to 8:30 at the Franklin Senior Center and invites any interested boy between the ages of 11 and 18 in Sussex County to come join our ranks. We participate in outings each month and conduct community service projects throughout the year. We are presently planning a trip to historic Gettysburg in May and several overnight trips and backpacking hikes. We spend a week each summer at Mount Allamuchy Scout Reservation for the younger Scouts. Our older venturing patrol is planning to complete a 100-mile canoe trip in the heart of the Adirondack Mountain Forest Preserve this July, which is their third high adventure trip in three years. If this is the kind of adventure you are seeking out of Boy Scouting, come out and visit. For information contact Gary Hintzen at 973-827-3194 or Dave Pasake at 973-827-7022. Dave Pasake Gary Hintzen
