MAJOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

Andover Borough: lower Smith St. between Railroad Ave. and Route 206 will be closed for paving starting on or about July 29 and lasting two days. Byram Township: resurfacing on I-80 westbound, west of Hope-Johnsonburg Road to east of Ledgewood Avenue; ongoing various lane closures from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.; estimated completion in August 2009. Frankford: Phillips Road, closed indefinitely; detour posted. Hamburg Borough: intersection of Routes 23 and 94, Linwood Avenue to Wallkill Avenue; final paving at night, 9 p.m.-6 a.m. Substantial completion in September 2009, but some additional work to be completed by winter 2009. Hampton: Bridge H-03 on County Route 622 over Paulins Kill dismantled. Hardyston Township: NJ 94 has construction northbound at south of CR 631/North Church Road; right shoulder blocked from 7 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Hope Township: I-80 eastbound; milling and paving between Exit 12 - CR 521/Hope-Blairstown Road (Hope Township) and east of Exit 27 (NJ 183/US 206 (Roxbury Township- see below), Monday-through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Saturday, July 25. Right lane will be closed. Ogdensburg: Route 517; gas line installation from Sparta at I-181, through Ogdensburg and Franklin to Route 23; lane closures and lengthy delays will occur until further notice; estimated completion mid-August. Sandyston Township: US 206; construction northbound, north of CR 560/Dingmans Road; alternate lanes blocked until 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2009. Sparta: Oil and chipping operations will commence on or about July 21, from 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. to improve roads. Residents will be notified by phone when their street is scheduled and will have access to their homes, but there will be no through traffic. The following roads are scheduled for work on week of July 21: Milton Road, Old Prospect School Road and West Mountain Road from Sterling Hill Road to Old Prospect School Road.
