Meeting the governor

Michael Smith of Vernon rubbed shoulders with Gov. Jon Corzine at Six Flags in Jackson on a recent Saturday at the Statewide Picnic sponsored by the NJ State Building and Construction Trades Council. His dad, Mike Smith, is a union carpenter and vice president of Local 620 and a representative for the Sussex, Warren and Morris counties for the District Council of Carpenters. The event attracted over 12,000 people.
