Mountain Creek now offers Head skis as rentals

Vernon - Mountain Creek in Vernon now offers Head skis in its rental system. The new fleet includes three models from Head’s 2009-2010 line - Sport, Performance, and Hi-Pro. Head’s BYS (black/yellow/silver) system skis are shapelier and two pounds lighter than the leading rental ski, according to Mountain Creek officials. Head’s BYS skis are also constructed with more durable materials, lengthening its overall lifespan. Most notable is the system’s color coded scheme. Skis, boots and bindings are all assigned a color - black, yellow, or silver. Boots are offered in typical sizes, but there are only three boot shells. The bindings and skis are preset to fit each boot shell based on its color with no adjustments needed. Because of this color-coded system, patrons will be outfitted with better fitting equipment faster, allowing for more time on the snow, officials said.
