NEWTON — A long-time area plumbing business has undergone a change in ownership. Formerly a three-man partnership, Mr. Plumb is now solely owned and operated by founding partner Jack Bell. The idea of Mr. Plumb was created when Bell, then working as Bell Plumbing and Heating, was on a service call one summer day. He passed some children making mud pies, who asked him what he was doing. Several times, they called him Mr. Plumb. Bell liked the idea and 10 years ago, formed the Mr. Plumb business with two partners. They serviced Sussex, Morris and Warren County and became well known in the area for their 24/7 service. As of January, Bell took sole ownership of the company. He has 28 years experience in heating and plumbing and is a NJ State Licensed Master Plumber. He said, “I am honored to have so many long-time customers... We have the greatest office staff, and the best plumbers, and that is ‘Service You Can Depend On.’”
