National Day of Prayer

This year’s National Day of Prayer was observed in various places around the county last Thursday. Some 33 people gathered to pray in front of the Vernon Municipal Center on Church Street, including members of the clergy. Officiating were Pastor Nicholas Fontana of the Faith with Love Fellowship at the McAfee Bible Church, Pastor Roger Spence of the Christ Community Church in Highland Lakes, Father Ramilo Esplana of St. Francis de Sales Church in Vernon and Father Robert F. Solon, vicar of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Vernon.
