New assistant prosecutor hired

NEWTON — Laura L. Nazzaro has been hired as an assistant prosecutor with the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office. Nazzaro just completed a clerkship with the Honorable N. Peter Conforti, J.S.C., in the Criminal Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey in Sussex County. She had previously served as a legal intern with the Massachusetts Attorney General and also as a research and writing assistant for the New Jersey Crime Victims’ Law Center. Nazzaro graduated Magna Cum Laude from the State of New York at Albany. She was also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society while in college. She graduated from the New England School of Law in May of 2008 and was consistently on the dean’s list during her law school career. Prosecutor David Weaver said Nazzaro will be a great asset to the office. Her familiarity with the Sussex County Court system and her work with the Crime Victims’ Law Center will aid her as she transitions into her new role. Nazzaro will initially be assigned to the domestic violence and juvenile units.
