New supermarket in Warwick expected to open in January

WARWICK, N.Y. “We are thrilled to introduce ourselves to the community of Warwick and surrounding communities,” said Neil Golub, as he ceremoniously broke ground on the 56,000-square-foot Price Chopper being built on Route 94 South here. The property, just a short hop from Warwick’s ShopRite, has been under development for some months now, but on Thursday, July 23, Golub, president and CEO for Price Chopper Supermarkets, and Adrian Goddard of Goddard Development Partners, were joined by local officials for an official announcement and photo op. “I am confident that consumers will appreciate the superior quality and value of what Price Chopper has to offer. We are truly committed to the best in fresh products and low prices.” “This is a terrific project being delivered at a very difficult time,” said Adrian Goddard, Managing Partner for Goddard Development. Price Chopper officials estimate the store, which will be open 24 hours every day, will create approximately 238 full and part-time jobs. After the ground-breaking ceremony, guests were invited to a luncheon and short program at The Dautaj Restaurant in Warwick, where Golub explained plans for the new store in more detail.
