The Denton-Wallace house on Route 94 in Vernon, built in 1845 and home to seven generations of the Denton-Wallace family, joined the ranks of Vernon’s notable buildings in a ceremony June 13 by the township’s Historical Society. The current residents, the La Bar family, petitioned to have the house declared a historic site three years ago.
