NY's Finest opens in Vernon

Vernon — NY’s Finest Cool Treats and Coffee has opened its second location in the New Cobblestone Village at Mountain Creek in Vernon, directly across the highway from the Mountain Creek Waterpark. The shop offers the same flavors of water and “cream ice” that have been “the hallmark of its Franklin location but, also adds the elements of a wide assortment of coffee, liquor, and entertainment,” according to NY’s Finest officials. This includes the launch of its new product, the “Ice N Smoothie,” a blend of ices with flavored liquors. The store offers free entertainment every night of the week: Mondays are Mini Golf Mania (foursomes play for the price of three); Tuesdays are complimentary cooking classes provided by 3 Leaves Gourmet; Wednesdays are dance classes; ranging from hip hop to salsa, to jazz and swing taught by instructors from Ziegler Dance Centre, Dance Expression and Little Lost Arts; Thursdays are “Movies Under the Stars” on the big outdoor movie screen; Fridays feature art, music, food; Saturdays are an independent hard rock music series presented by Viking Records; and Sunday is family day in the square.
