Palinski nominated for ‘Young Dietitian of the Year'

VERNON — Registered dietitian Erin Palinski has been nominated by the faculty at the College of Saint Elizabeth to be “Young Dietitian of the Year.” Palinski, who has a private practice, created and published two weight management programs, launched a Web-based business for health professionals and is a public speaker and media consultant on various wellness and nutrition topics. She received a bachelor’s degree in nutrition from Virginia Tech. She then completed the supervised practice in dietetics through the College of Saint Elizabeth. She is a certified specialist in both childhood and adolescent weight management as well as a certified specialist in adult weight management. Palinski is the author of the “Healthy ‘n Fit Weight Management Program,” a structured weight management program for children and teens, used by dietitians and hospitals nationwide; and the “Healthy Resolutions Weight Management Program,” a weight management program for adults. Palinski also founded www.dietitianresource.com to provide educational materials to nutrition professionals working in outpatient, clinical, and community settings.
