Participants sought for Relay for Life

SUSSEX — Sussex County Community College will host the Greater Sussex Relay For Life on May 30 and 31. The event, which raised more than $90,000 in 2008, features teams of people who camp out on campus and take turns walking or running around the Connor Green. The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life brings together entire communities to take part in the fight against cancer and to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those lost, and fight back against a disease that touches too many lives. Organizers added it will help the American Cancer Society “work toward a mission of eliminating cancer as major health issue and will support much needed services in our community.” To date, nearly $30,000 has been raised with 50 teams and 250 participants registered.
