Morning show host Rob Moorhead to broadcast live outside Quick Chek LAFAYETTE — Revising a successful food drive, Rob Moorhead, host of the Moorhead in the Morning show on 103.7 WNNJ, will once again host Stuff the Bus, a food drive that benefits the food pantry at Sussex County Division of Social Services. He’ll be at the Lafayette Quick Chek on the corner of Route 15 and Sunset Inn Road, beginning at 5:30 a.m., on Monday, Nov. 23 and Tuesday, Nov. 24, to broadcast live, greet his fans and collect food donations. Last year’s Stuff the Bus was one of the most successful food drives Social Services’ staff has ever witnessed, collecting over 10,700 pounds of food donations and more than $600 in cash during the two day event. “We were making it clear that the food we collected was going only to the people of Sussex County that need assistance, and car after car would pull up with out of state plates,” Moorhead said. “That says something about the residents of this region. There’s nothing more personal and compassionate than feeding someone who’s hungry.” This year’s Stuff the Bus follows Clear Channel Radio’s (WSUS and WNNJ) “Hunger Knows No Season” campaign — their effort to raise awareness that hunger exists in Sussex County and to collect food during times when food donations are typically low. People who are in need of food can stop by the Division of Social Services, 83 Spring Street, Newton, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Donations are accepted during these hours or special arrangements can be made for after-hours donations by calling 973-383-3600.
