Red Cross offers support

for military families Newton — The Sussex County Chapter of the American Red Cross invites members of the U.S. Military and their families to attend a free, one hour presentation, “Get To Know Us Before You Need Us,” on Tuesday, April 21 at 7 p.m. Registration is required. Children are welcome and refreshments will be served. The county Red Cross also hosts a monthly support group for military families that provides an opportunity to interact with other local military families who have similar experiences. No registration is required. The next meeting is Friday, April 24 at 7 p.m. at chapter headquarters in Newton, at 93 Spring Street.
