Sally Rinker announces for Vernon Town Council

More than 30 years ago, my family and I discovered Vernon Township. The natural beauty, as well as the myriad of recreational opportunities, kept us returning until we built our home here in 1984. For the past 25 years, I have owned and operated a successful business in Vernon. I have been completely committed to this community. I am an active member in the Vernon Chamber of Commerce, the Vernon Historical Society, the League of Women Voters and the Vernon Township Economic Development Committee. It has been difficult to watch Vernon continue on a complex and troubled course. I am extremely concerned for the future of Vernon Township and believe we need to embrace planning efforts that benefit all of Vernon. We need to stop wasteful spending and make decisions which affect our residents, in an honest, respectful and timely manner. With all the challenges we are facing, on so many levels, now, more than ever, we need leadership that is familiar with the issues, capable of making the right decisions for the township, while understanding the ramifications of those decisions. I believe it is the right time for me to step up to offer my experience to the Vernon Council. I feel, my 25 years of successful business practices will bring fiscal responsibility and sensible decisions to the Council, for our community. Sally Rinker Vernon Republicans
