Scouts earn silver awards

Girl Scouts Viktoria-Leigh Wagner, Meghan Medici and Denise Galluzzo, all from Troop 851, earned their Silver Awards by preparing a series of Starry Night Reading Series events at the Sussex-Wantage Library. Over a period of months, each of the girls was required to prepare one day’s event, which consisted of young reader books and fun activities to go along with the story hour. Each girl researched three selected authors, prepared posters, advertising flyers and created their event. Viktoria-Leigh provided musical games and Meghan and Denise provided crafts.
