Nick Chiarchiaro, left, and Mike Pace, of Pace Karate show off some of the half ton of food collected by students at Pace Karate for the Vernon Food Pantry. Karate school owner Pace said he promoted the food drive to his students in an effort to “teach them a life lesson — the abundance mentality — the more you give, the more you share — the more you receive. It is all about helping those around you, your community and those in need. We had a great response and are happy to pass it on,” he said.
