Shortway offers thanks to voters

I wish to thank the Vernon voters, my family, friends and volunteers who supported my efforts during my campaign for Vernon Township Council. Their tireless efforts are deeply appreciated. I wish to recognize Craig Benda and Mary Ellen Vichiconti for their efforts, and Sally Rinker for her tenacity to achieve her goal. My enthusiasm to serve the people of Vernon is the same today as it was when I started my law enforcement career 27 years ago. I am confident that the council will unite to confront the many issues that challenge Vernon. We must work together in the interest of the people because it is our responsibility to serve the voters and their families and not our respective political affiliations. The people of Vernon deserve our united efforts to solve the problems that confront us. Once again I have been given an opportunity to serve the people.
