Area native completes junior season

Heather Passaro is a Justice Studies major and Psychology minor at College of Saint Elizabeth. She completed her first season on the softball team after transferring from Centenary College. Heather attended Centenary College for 2 years and was a member of the softball team. While at Centenary, she was named to first-team all-conference her freshman year and second-team all-conference her sophomore year.
She made history by becoming the first student-athlete in the College of Saint Elizabeth's history to earn CoSIDA Academic All-District first-team honors. She earned it for her phenomenal season on the softball team as well as a 4.0 GPA in the classroom.
On the field, she had an electric season at the plate, finishing with a .398 batting average, 6 triples, 3 doubles, a home run, and team highs of 49 hits and 37 runs scored. Behind the dish, Heather had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage and threw out two base runners. Her offense was a key to the Eagles success this season at the top of the lineup. She starts her senior year in the fall.
After she graduates, she will continue her education towards her Master’s Degree.
