Crystal Springs plans golf programs

Although the golf season has come to a close at Crystal Springs Resort, there’s still plenty of ways to stay in shape and keep the spirit of the sport alive during the off season.

    Winter Exercise Tips
Avid golfers should follow a regular exercise regimen through the offseason to prevent injuries once spring rolls around.

"In winter you should follow the same exercise regimen you do the rest of the year," said Paul Schueren, clinical director for Physiotherapy Associates and the PGA Tour.

Golfers don’t need warm weather and sunshine to build core strength and promote flexibility. Winter golf exercises can be done in the comfort of one’s own home or at a local fitness facility, but all exercises should focus on cardiovascular training, strength and flexibility. The top golf publications agree on the importance of staying in shape during the offseason, and many offer specific exercises to ensure a safe and healthy return to the game come spring.

Winter Golf Pentathlon offers snowing fairway play

In addition to keeping golf muscles in tact throughout the offseason, players also will have the opportunity to get out on the course and practice their swing at the Sixth Annual Winter Golf Pentathlon at Crystal Springs Resort in February.

The Golf Pentathlon includes competitive challenges, including the Frozen Turkey Challenge, a Closest to the Snowman Driving Range Contest, a Cabin Fever Shootout and more. Prizes also available for those who come out to brave the elements.

    The gift of golf
Valentine’s Day is coming up and Crystal Springs offers a variety of golf-related gift ideas for that special golfer in your life.

The Flex 8 Pack comes complete with eight rounds on five of the resort’s award-winning courses. Flex 8 holders have the option to choose how, when and where they want to play.

Crystal Springs also offers Rewards Memberships starting at just $139, and feature lots of discounts, upgrades and three free rounds.
