A drizzly overcast morning did not deter the Vernon Horseshoe League from cleaning and administering general maintenance to their pit area in the Veteran’s Park section of the flats.
Established in 2011, new league President Jason Snover estimates team members at around 80 and growing.
“Our season will begin on April 30 and extend until August, with play-offs in September,” Snover explained.
Games are played on Monday through Thursday evenings. The Vernon league consists of 13 teams of men and women ages 18 and over. Membership on the Vernon Horseshoe League is open to the public from any area town.
