OAK RIDGE — Jefferson edged Vernon in the third game of a volleyball match on Satuday, Oct. 3, to post a 2-1 victory over Vernon Township.
Jefferson and Vernon both traded 25-16 wins in the first two sets, before Jefferson pulled out a 25-23 win in the third.
The matches were part of a 'Dig Pink' fundraiser. Dig Pink is the outreach branch of the Side-Out Foundation, and is a Breast Cancer Awareness Rally designed to educate and raise funds to help eradicate the disease.
Jefferson improved to 8-2, while Vernon fell to 3-8.
