SPARTA — Vernon defeated Sparta in a District 20 Little League of New Jersey game, July 7.
The final score was 14-1. The U11 baseball game took place at Veteran's Memorial Park.
The majority of Vernon's points came in the third inning. Sparta rotated pitchers in an attempt to stall Vernon's onslaught to no avail.
