Sparta High School defeated High Point Regional High School in boys varsity basketball on Saturday, Jan. 16. The final score was 49-43. The game took place at Sparta High School. Jack Simon scored 14 points for Sparta. Brad Smolen scored 14 points for High Point. Team records: High Point Wildcats 7-4, Sparta Spartans 4-5.
