Sussex Tech defeats Mountain Lakes in softball matchup
Sparta. Sussex Tech earned a 6-3 home victory over Mountain Lakes on May 15 as Alexandra Sweetman scored twice and shared pitching duties in the win.

Sussex County Technical School defeated Mountain Lakes High School 6-3 in varsity softball Friday, May 15 in Sparta.
The Mustangs improved to 8-10.
Alexandra Sweetman led Sussex Tech with two runs scored. Destinee DeGroat, Carleigh Stoll, Nevaeh Feliciano and Addison Realista each added a run.
Sweetman and Skyler Andrejack shared pitching duties for Sussex Tech.
For Mountain Lakes (5-14), Louisa Borden, Karly Ross and Fallon Fayo each scored once. Despite the loss, Mountain Lakes junior pitcher Jamie Polachek recorded the 100th strikeout of her varsity career.
