Sussex-Wantage wins holiday tournament

SPARTA — The Sussex-Wantage sixth-grade basketball team won the Christmas Tournament at Dreamfields on Dec. 28-29.
Sussex-Wantage lost to Newton in the first game, beat Wallkill in the second game and beat Byran in the third game.
Sussex-Wantage then beat Newton, 44-40, in the championship game.
