Vernon ice hockey to play for injured player

    The Vernon ice hockey team will donate proceeds from its game on Saturday, Jan. 18, to Mike Nichols, a player from Monroe High School, who recently broke his neck in a game.

    The game will take place at 8 p.m. at Skylands Ice World.

    Admission to the game will be $5.

    There will be prizes raffled off such as Devils' tickets, a 25-inch flatscreen TV and hockey-related autorgraphed items.
