Teresa Kelly of Franklin is shown after she was awarded a gold medal in the Super G by Chief Robert Belfiore. The chief is retired from the Port Authority Police Department and is a resident of Jersey City. Kelly was first in both intermediate slalom and intermediate Super G.

Vernon Mountaineers skier Lawrence Bono of Wantage offers a firm handshake after he received his medal. Bono was first in the novice slalom and second in the novice Super G.

VERNON — The Vernon Mountaineers brought home a series of medals from this year’s New Jersey Special Olympic Winter Games held Jan. 27, 28 and 29 held at Mountain Creek.
