Vernon — The Vernon Township Board of Education has recognized the 31 years of service of retiring Superintendent Anthony J. Macerino, by naming the high school athletic complex after him. Macerino was the district’s assistant superintendent for business/board secretary for 13 years, before being appointed the superintendent in 1991. It was through his efforts that the high school athletic complex was renovated.
