Sussex Bank announces appointment of assistant vice president

    SUSSEX COUNTY-Donald L. Kovach, Chairman & CEO of SussexBank has announced that Carol L. Luscher has been named Assistant Vice President, Director of Training for the bank. In this capacity, Luscher assumes responsibility for developing, implementing and managing all sales and service training programs at the bank. Kovach stated that the appointment of Luscher represents an increasing focus on the professional development of bank employees. "SussexBank has partnered with outside training professionals for a number of years," he said. "Although we expect these relationships to continue, we simply felt it was time to create a dedicated, internal training function," he stated. Terry H. Thompson, President of SussexBank, commented that Luscher's extensive background and knowledge of the local market make her uniquely qualified to direct training at SussexBank. "Carol is very familiar with the systems we utilize, and given the depth of her experience, we believe she will make an immediate and substantial contribution to our bank," Thompson said. Luscher most recently served as Assistant Vice President, Training Officer at Newton Trust. She served that institution in various capacities for more than 12 years. Luscher was also a Training and Performance Support Manager at Sovereign Bank for more than two years, and for a number of years was an associate in the Retail Division of Crestmont Federal Savings and Loan. Luscher holds a B.A. in Education from William Patterson College in Wayne and is certified by a number of professional training organizations.
