Sept. 3 Nicole Linfoot, 21, of Franklin was sentenced to two years probation, substance abuse evaluation and treatment, $1,250 in fines and a six-month loss of driver’s license. She pled guilty on July 7 to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. She admitted to possessing OxyContin tablet without a prescription on May 31, 2008 in Franklin. Sept. 4 Jonathan Suk, 18, of Columbia, was sentenced to two years probation, $1,500 in fines, a six-month loss of driver’s license and inpatient substance abuse treatment. He pled guilty on July 13 to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to possessing two bags of heroin following a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 23 by Newton Police. Sept. 11 Ian Mandt, 20, formerly of Hopatcong was sentenced to 18 months probation. As a condition of his probation, Mandt was ordered to serve 73 days in the county jail and to complete his intensive outpatient substance abuse program. Mandt was also ordered to obtain a job, obtain his GED and to pay $330 in monetary penalties. He pled guilty on Aug. 3. At the time of his guilty plea, Mandt admitted that on or about Dec. 1, 2008 he was in possession of a pocket knife when he recklessly caused injury to an adult male relative during the course of a domestic violence incident. Richard S. McGinley, 26, of Newton, was sentenced to 270 in jail, three years probation and 12-year loss of license. He must also undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation, attend anger management classes and Alcoholics/Narcotics Anonymous classes, provide his DNA and pay court costs and fines. McGinley pled guilty on July 27 to third degree eluding, driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident. He admitted to driving his Jeep Wrangler while intoxicated and refusing to stop the vehicle when the New Jersey State Police instructed him to do so. He then ran the Jeep off the road hitting an embankment and attempting to flee on foot. Sept.14 Christopher Mackerley, 23, of Newton pled guilty to an indictment charging him with the third degree charge of terroristic threats. Mackerley admitted that on or about Aug. 1, 2008 he had threatened to assault an adult male during a domestic violence dispute. Sept. 15 Berry Rouse, 21, of Sussex was sentenced to two years probation, 180 days in the Sussex County Jail, random urine testing, and fines and penalties of $1,455. He must register for Megan’s Law. He pled guilty on July 30 to criminal sexual contact, a fourth degree crime. Sept. 16 Stephen M. Magyarosi, 46, of Newton pled guilty to interference with transportation, a fourth degree crime. On July 20 in Sparta, Magyarosi drove his vehicle onto railroad tracks, the vehicle became disabled and he left it on the tracks. A freight train struck the vehicle, the vehicle was destroyed and the train was damaged. The defendant made no attempt to contact anyone regarding the incident. Ben A. Parichuk, 39, of Phillipsburg pled guilty to burglary, a third degree crime.
