    March 6 Morgan G. Hookway, 22, of Netcong, was sentenced to four years probation, 90 days SLAP, $155,000 in fines and outpatient substance abuse treatment. He pled guilty on Jan. 12 to three counts of third degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted that on three occasions in January 2008 he sold ecstasy to an undercover detective assigned to the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force. March 9 Tara E. Fletcher, 21, of Sparta, was sentenced to three years drug court probation, inpatient drug treatment, 71 days jail, $1,380 in fines and a six month loss of driver’s license. She pled guilty on March 9 to the third degree crime of possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance. She also plead guilty on March 22 to the third degree crime of simple possession of a controlled dangerous substance. She admitted that on Jan. 7, she possessed 72 bags of heroin in Sparta. That matter was investigated by Sparta Police Officer Bob Fraser. She also admitted to possessing 20 bags of heroin in Sparta on Oct. 6, 2008. Michael J. Kaloudis, 20, of Stanhope pled guilty to the fourth degree crime of resisting arrest. Sentencing is anticipated for March 30. He admitted to running away from police when they came to his home to arrest him on an outstanding bench warrant. James A. Smith, 22, of Hopatcong pled guilty to the second degree crime of distribution of LSD and the third degree crime of distribution of ecstasy. Sentencing is anticipated for May 1. He admitted selling 10 doses of LSD and five doses of ecstasy to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Guns Gangs and Narcotics Task Force. Christopher P. Mullen, 22, of Sparta pled guilty to the third degree crime of attempting to defraud a drug test. Sentencing is anticipated for April 24. He admitted to possessing a small bottle of another individual’s urine which he intended to use when he was about to be given a drug at the Sussex County Probation Department. March 13 Mark Zellers, 29, formerly of Paterson, was sentenced to three years state prison on a violation of probation. Zellers was originally placed on probation on Aug. 31, 2007 for failure to register as a convicted sex offender and violation of his community supervision for life sentence. Zellers, a previously convicted sex offender, was ordered by the court to comply with the terms of Megan’s Law and Community Supervision for Life. Zellers previously admitted to the court that between May 17, 2007 and June 16, 2007 he had violated the terms of his Community Supervision for Life by failing to live at his address approved by parole, by failing to obtain permission from his parole officer to move to a new residence, by failing to obtain permission from his parole officer to secure new employment and by failing to report to his parole officer. Zellers also admitted that he had moved from his approved address in Sparta to a new address in the State of New Hampshire without first notifying the Sparta Township Police Department of his intention to move to a new address. Ronald J. Fells, 55, of Sussex, was sentenced to two years probation, 27 days credit for time served in jail, a substance abuse evaluation and treatment, $205 in fines and restitution in the amount of $462. He pled guilty on Dec. 8, 2008, to the third degree crime of burglary. He admitted to entering an apartment on Sept. 6, 2008 without permission and with the intent to remove a person from inside of it. March 16 Daniel W. Evans, 20, of Branchville pled guilty to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Sentencing is anticipated for May 1. He admitted possessing a bag of heroin in Frankford Township on June 18, 2007. Christopher Shortway, 24, of Wantage pled guilty to the third degree crime of attempting to defraud a drug test. Sentencing is anticipated for April 3. He admitted to trying to avoid giving a urine sample while on probation by using a Whizzinator. Kathleen Dimeglio, 44, of Hardyston pled guilty to the third crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Sentencing is anticipated for April 17. She admitted to possessing 21 bags of cocaine in Wantage on December 5, 2008. Kimberly Decker, 50, of Montague pled guilty to the third degree crime of possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance. Sentencing is anticipated for May 1. She admitted to possessing a number of bags of heroin on November 24, 2008 that she intended to give to others. Sereca Thomas, 26, of Franklin pled guilty to possession of a wooden walking cane for an unlawful purpose, a third degree crime. Sentencing is scheduled for May 1. Thomas admitted to the Court that on or about January 6, she was in possession of a walking cane that she used as a weapon during a domestic violence altercation. Zachary Coppolino, 21, of Wantage, was sentenced to five years drug court probation, $1,730 in fines, short-term inpatient substance abuse treatment, 31 days jail and a six month loss of driver’s license. He pled guilty on February 17 to three counts of third degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance and one count of third degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted that on three occasions in March 2008 in Wantage he sold small amounts of cocaine to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Gangs Guns and Narcotics Task Force. He also admitted that on November 11, 2008 in Wantage he possessed OxyContin when he was arrested on an outstanding warrant by Trooper C. Gesualdo. March 17 A Grand Jury has indicted William Rodenbaugh, 43, of Newton with second degree eluding and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a crime of the third degree. The Grand Jury alleges that on Oct. 8, 2008 in Sparta, Rodenbaugh led police on a high speed chase, caused an accident by side swiping another vehicle, then parked the vehicle and fled on foot. On Oct. 9, 2008, while being processed at Sparta Township Police Department, a plastic bag was found in his sock, which contained two small pills. Investigation revealed those pills to be an illegal controlled dangerous substance. A Grand Jury has indicted Dominica J. Kuczenski, 41, of Wantage, with forgery and theft by deception, both third degree crimes, and tampering with records, a crime of the fourth degree. The Grand Jury alleges that on April 14, 2008 in Wantage, she created a company check made payable to herself and cashed it. A Grand Jury has indicted Cheryl L. Brickell, 32, of Mahwah, with fourth degree tampering with evidence. The Grand Jury alleges that on April 18, 2008 in Newton, Brickell falsified a letter to the Division of Youth and Family Services from a psychiatrist that related to an ongoing custody hearing. Through further investigation it was determined that the letter had been authored by the defendant. March 19 Joseph Thompson, 22, of Clarendon, Pa., was sentenced to three years in the New Jersey State Prison. He pled guilty on Dec. 17, 2008, to attempted escape from the Sussex County Jail and criminal mischief, third degree crimes. On Aug. 1, 2008, Thompson, along with two co-defendants, caused extensive damage to the window grating of their cell with the intention of escaping. The trio, however, were unable to fully breach the window. Moreover, they were ill-equipped to descend the four stories to the ground level, or navigate the razor wire fence. They were apprehended in their cell by the Sheriff’s Department.
