    Oct. 2 A juvenile pled guilty to third degree receiving stolen property and third degree theft. He was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 16, was sentenced to continue on probation (already on probation from prior matter), 60 days in the Juvenile Detention Center with credit for 15 days already served and 25 days suspended and a six-month loss of his driver’s license. He must also submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing, have no contact with co-defendants, testify truthfully against any co-defendants, and pay fines of $75. The juvenile and adult co-defendants entered the victim’s truck bed and took 30 sets of chrome hub caps. On another occasion they took an amplifier, subwoofer, subs, CDs and other items from the victim’s vehicle. Oct.6 A juvenile pled guilty on October 6, to four counts of third degree burglary, third degree criminal mischief and fourth degree theft. He was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 14, was sentenced to two years probation with 60 days detention (credit for time served - balance to be suspended if he completes residential program) and a six-month loss of his driver’s license. He must also submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing, enter and complete New Hope Residential Program, pay restitution to all victims and fines of $195. Between August 18 and August 23, defendant and several other juvenile co-defendants broke into several different vehicles, taking different items from the vehicles. They also jumped on hoods of vehicles belonging to Clear Channel Radio causing damage to the vehicles. Elise Mazzetta, age 28, of Hamburg, pled guilty to two counts of third degree burglary. Sentencing is presently anticipated for December 5. In April of this year, along with a juvenile co-defendant, she entered the Wagon Wheels Learning Center on two separate occasions and took over $200 each time. Ricardo Rios, age 30, of Franklin pled guilty to the second degree crimes of possession with the intent to distribute a CDS within 1000 feet of a school and possession with the intent to distribute more than one half ounce of cocaine. Sentencing is presently anticipated for November 7. He admitted to possessing MDMA, also known as ecstasy, on July 2 within 1000 feet of the Franklin Elementary School when he intended to sell it to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force. He also admitted to possessing more than one-half ounce of cocaine on July 9 in Franklin which he intended to distribute to a person cooperating with Sussex County Narcotics Task Force. Michael Walter, age 24, of Frankford, pled guilty to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Sentencing is presently anticipated for November 7. He admitted that on February 20, 2006 he possessed nine bags of heroin and five bags of cocaine following a motor vehicle stop by Sparta Police Sergeant John Lamon. Joseph W. Otte, age 29, of Vernon, was sentenced to three years state prison, $1,205 in fines and a six-month lost of driver’s license. He pled guilty on September 22, to the third degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to possessing eight bags of heroin on July 6 in Andover Township. The matter was investigated by Andover Police Officer R. Youngs. Oct. 7 Brian P. Walsh, age 22, of Hewitt was indicted with two count of second degree aggravated assault and two counts of third degree aggravated assault. The case was investigated by Detective Sean Talt of the Vernon Township Police Department. The Grand Jury alleges that on June 14 and/or June 15 in Vernon, the defendant had an altercation with the victim at a house party both were attending, punching him multiple times in the face causing a fracture to his jaw bone that needed to be surgically repaired. The victim also suffered multiple cuts and lacerations to his face that required sutures. A Grand Jury indictment is a charge only. Terrence M. O’Sullivan, age 31, of Bushkill, Pennsylvania was indicted with third degree burglary and attempted third degree theft. The Grand Jury alleges that on January 8, O’Sullivan entered the rear door of the Hamburg office of Sparta Medical Associates and attempted to take a laptop computer, but was thwarted by an employee. A Grand Jury indictment is a charge only. Ruben Jacobs, age 19, of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania was indicted with second degree eluding. The Grand Jury alleges that on November 18, 2007, Jacobs, while driving on Route 206 in Frankford, was signaled to pull over by a state trooper and upon pulling over, sped off as the trooper approached the vehicle. Lisa J. Kennedy, age 45, of Stanhope was indicted with third degree theft and third degree forgery. The Grand Jury alleges that between January 2005 and August 2007 Kennedy, as treasurer, used the checking account and debit card of the Lenape Valley Soccer Club to take approximately $50,000. Khalif A. Rasul, age 28, of Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania was indicted with third degree providing implements of escape and third degree hindering the apprehension or prosecution of another person. The Grand Jury alleges that on or about December 29, 2007, Rasul provided Keith Garcia with a cell phone and transportation to assist in his escape from Mountainview Correctional Facility and then aided in his attempt to avoid apprehension. Keith Garcia, age 28, of Bayonne was indicted with third degree escape. The Grand Jury alleges that on December 29, 2007, Garcia escaped from the Mountainview Correctional Facility with the aid of Khalif A. Rasul of Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania. Doreen P. Joseph, age 51, of Montague was indicted with fourth degree false public alarm. The Grand Jury alleges that on October 11, 2007 Joseph called the State Police reporting that she had been stabbed by her mother, which later proved to be a fabrication. David J. Betz, age 31, Glen Spey, New York was indicted with third degree burglary and theft. The Grand Jury alleges that on October 22, 2007, Betz and Heather M. Rempkowski entered a Sandyston residence and stole jewelry, prescription drugs and loose change. Susan A. Antcliff, age 30, of Netcong was indicted with third degree fraudulent use of a credit card and fourth degree unlawfully procuring a credit card. The Grand Jury alleges that on or about November 19, 2007, Antcliff, Ryan D. Best and Michael T. McDowell obtained a credit card from an employee of the Hopatcong Quick Chek and used the card to make purchases at both the Netcong Shop Rite and Quick Chek stores. Ryan D. Best, age 28, of Netcong was indicted with third degree fraudulent use of a credit card and fourth degree unlawfully procuring a credit card. The Grand Jury alleges that on or about November 19, 2007, Best, Michael T. McDowell and Susan A. Antcliff obtained a credit card from an employee of the Hopatcong Quick Chek and used the card to make purchases at both the Netcong Shop Rite and Quick Chek stores. Michael T. McDowell, age 22, of Hopatcong was indicted with third degree fraudulent use of a credit card and fourth degree unlawfully procuring a credit card. The Grand Jury alleges that on or about November 19, 2007, McDowell, Ryan D. Best and Susan A. Antcliff obtained a credit card from an employee of the Hopatcong Quick Chek and used the card to make purchases at both the Netcong Shop Rite and Quick Chek stores. A Grand Jury indictment is a charge only. Oct. 8 James B. Conklin, age 27, of Hopatcong, was sentenced to 12 months in jail. He must also submit his DNA and pay Court costs and $1,400 restitution to his victims. Conklin pled guilty on June 16 to fourth degree conspiracy to commit theft. He admitted to telling Charles L. Gould, Jr. and Paul E. Pease the address of an Andover Township home that was under construction and another Andover Township home that was abandoned that they could enter and remove copper piping. Oct. 10 Megan M. Ackerman, age 20, of Sussex, was sentenced to two years probation. She must pay restitution in the amount of $1,221 joint and several, pay total fines and penalties of $280 and submit a DNA sample at her expense. She was ordered by the court to be fingerprinted as a condition of her probation. She pled guilty on August 11 to two counts of burglary, both third degree crimes. She had previously been enrolled in the Pre-Trial Intervention Program but was terminated for non-compliance. Between September 6, 2006 and October 6, 2006, Ackerman and two co-defendants entered abandoned buildings in Frankford and Lafayette Townships, removed copper pipes from the buildings and then sold the pipes to make extra money. Anthony Waldron, age 34, of Newton, was sentenced to serve fifteen months at the New Jersey Department of Corrections and to pay $405 in monetary penalties. He pled guilty on July 1 to two counts of the fourth degree charge of violating the terms of his Community Supervision for Life. He also pled guilty on October 10, to a third count of the fourth degree charge of violating the terms of his Community Supervision for Life. Waldron, a previously convicted sex offender, was ordered by the court to comply with the terms of Community Supervision for Life. Waldron admitted to the court that between November 21, 2007 and March 19, he violated the terms of his supervision by failing to obey laws, failing to report to his parole officer, failing to notify his parole officer that he had been arrested on a new criminal offense, possession of CDS, and failing to attend sex offender treatment. Waldron also admitted that on or about May 5, he violated the terms of his supervision by failing to report to his parole officer, failing to obey the law, and possession of CDS. He also admitted that between June 10 and July 6, he again violated the terms of his supervision by failing to report and failing to notify his parole officer of a new arrest. Thomas M. Crozier, age 54, of Wantage, was sentenced to three years state prison, $2,380 in fines and a one year loss of driver’s license. He pled guilty on August 19 to two counts of third degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to distributing cocaine on August 22 and 28, 2006 to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force. Kimberly La Placa, age 29, of Newton, was sentenced to three years state prison with 21 months of parole ineligibility, $1,205 in fines and a six- month lost of driver’s licenses. She pled guilty on July 28 to the third degree crime of possession with the intent distribute a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of a school. She admitted that on June 12, she possessed cocaine with the intent to distribute it at her apartment at 160 Spring Street, Newton, which was within 1,000 feet of Saint Joseph’s Elementary School.
