Township plans bulk pickup

WANTAGE - Wantage residents who are looking to discard unwanted items can take advantage of the township’s bulk pickup, scheduled for the first two weeks in June. Residents can obtain a sticker to place on their items for $30 from the Wantage Township Municipal Building. Items such as old appliances will be picked up at residences. This program does not include household trash or construction debris. Blue Diamond Disposal of Mount Arlington is charging the township $205 per ton this year — that’s $20 less per ton than the company charged the town last year, according to Township Administrator Jim Doherty.
